2 STEP #3 • Remove upper center pocket (A). • Open lid, pull at lower edge of case portion of pocket back by hand, to detach clips. Do not pull lid portion while removing upper center pocket. Once loose, close lid and remove. • Disconnect pocket light bulb socket (B) and detach harness clips (C). STEP #4 • Remove screws, disconnect front accessory power socket connector (D) and detach harness clip (E), then remove lower center pocket (F). STEP # 5 • Open console box lid (A) and remove console mat (B) and screws (C,D). D E F E F G H STEP # 6 • Lift and remove center console (E). • Disconnect rear accessory power socket connector (F), and detach clip (G). • Pull up rear portion of console to release hooks (H), then remove.
3 STEP #7 • Remove (4) 8 x 1.25 mm bolts from the shifter console (J). • Remove shift cable clip and undo cable from bottom of shifter (J). • Remove the cotter pin and washer. Twist the cable counter clock wise to release the cable form the housing (I). • Invert shifter housing and secure in a bench vise, use supplied tool as shown in picture (K) by inserting ball into groove in metal plate and pry upward on plastic bushing to remove off end of ball socket. • Apply a small amount of grease to short shifter ball and snap plastic bushing onto end of short shifter ball (L). • Use supplied 680 (Green) Loctite retaining compound to cover bottom of stock shifter ball and sides of stock shifter where it will contact short shift adapter (ensure NO Loctite fluid gets onto plastic bushing or ball of short shifter). Make sure to work within dry time, Loctite fluid will take a set in approx 10 mins, full curing in 24-48 hours. • Slide short shifter down onto shift lever (ensure short shift adapter is pressed entirely on) then tighten set screws to secure short shifter (M). • Reinstall shift lever housing & reconnect shift cables. • Check shifter feel, making sure all gears engage properly before reas- sembly. • Reinstall arm rest, console and shift knob in reverse order. • Check all fasteners and plugs….
